Abitato Fenicio-Punico

The Phoenician-Punico of Santadi is located in the territory of Santadi (09010, CI), in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is a site of archaeological interest that testifies the presence of the ancient Phoenician and punic civilizations in southern Sardinia. The area is an important historical landmark linked to the dynamics of settlement and exchange of the ancient Mediterranean.
The site retains traces of an ancient inhabited area, inserted in a strategic context for commercial and cultural links between the Mediterranean populations. The location of the territory of Santadi, between sea and indoor areas, has favoured over the centuries the settlement and development of ancient communities.
