Belvedere Masua

The Belvedere di Masua is located in the territory of Iglesias, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is one of the most spectacular sights of the south-western coast of Sardinia. The area is closely connected to the nearby Nebida viewpoint, with which it shares iconic views on the mining coastal landscape.
The route is developed as a panoramic ring walk overlooking the sea, offering a continuous view of the cliffs and the famous Pan di Zucchero, the highest phallus in Europe. The contrast between sea, rock and mining structures makes the landscape particularly scenic.
The context is characterized by the presence of remains of the industrial archaeology of Sulcis, including old mining structures and abandoned infrastructures that integrate into the natural landscape of the coast. This fusion of industrial history and nature is one of the distinctive elements of the area.
