Cala Grotta

The Cala Grotta, located in the territory of Sant’Antioco, is a small coastal corner where the sea meets a articulated rock formation, creating a natural environment of strong visual impact. The context is typical of Sulcis-Iglesiente, with stretches of coast still little urbanized and characterized by cliffs, clear water and low Mediterranean vegetation.
The site stands out above all for the presence of natural rocky coves and cavities, shaped over time by marine erosion. It is not a wide and sandy bay, but a more wild and fragmented space, where the rock dominates the landscape and the sea enters into close relationship with the coast. The panoramic position makes the area particularly appreciated for the view and the possibility to observe the marine landscape in a more authentic and less anthropized form.
