Cascata di Su Cannoni

The Su Cannoni Waterfall is located in the mountain area of Sulcis-Iglesiente, within a natural context characterized by rocky reliefs, valleys and dense Mediterranean vegetation. It is a seasonal waterfall that forms along a water course nestled between the rocks, creating an evocative and little anthropized environment.
The site is characterized by rocky walls, water jumps and natural pools, shaped over time by river erosion. During the rainy periods, the waterfall takes on a greater reach, highlighting the strength of water in shaping the landscape.
The surrounding vegetation is made up of Mediterranean maquis, holm oaks and shelter species, which help create a fresh and shaded microenvironment. The natural environment is enriched by the presence of rocky gorges and traits that make the area particularly interesting from the geomorphological point of view.
