Complesso Forestale di Pantaleo

The Pantaleo Forest Complex is a wide naturalistic area located between the territories of Santadi and Nuxis, Sulcis (South Sardinia). With an area of more than 8,000 hectares, it represents one of the most important forest complexes on the island and is known for hosting the largest lecceta in the Mediterranean, an element of great environmental and scientific value.
The area is characterized by a rich and varied forest landscape, dominated by oaks and Mediterranean vegetation, which contribute to creating an ecosystem of great biodiversity. The complex plays a key role in environmental protection, species conservation and sustainable forest heritage management.
