Diga di Punta Gennarta

The dam of Punta Gennarta is located in the territory of Sulcis-Iglesiente, in south-western Sardinia, and is a hydraulic infrastructure inserted in an environmental context characterized by reliefs and natural areas. The structure is linked to the management and containment of the local basin, playing an important role for the water system of the area.
The site is part of a landscape typical of the iglesiente hinterland, where alternate Mediterranean vegetation, hills and rocky traits, creating a less urbanized environment and strong natural footprint.
