Ex Miniera di Su Benatzu

The Ex Miniera di Su Benatzu is located in the territory of Sulcis-Iglesiente, along the SP70, in a hilly context characterized by limestone reliefs, Mediterranean maquis and important testimonies of mining archaeology. The site is part of the vast extractive system that has deeply marked the economic and landscape history of South Sardinia.
The area preserves remains of mining structures linked to mining and processing of minerals, with industrial ruins, access to tunnels and stone and concrete artifacts, now in a state of disposal and partial integration with the natural environment.
