Foresta demaniale di Tamara–Tiriccu

The Tamara–Tiriccu State Forest is a protected natural area of about 1,470 hectares, located in the Nuxis area, in the heart of the Sulcis-Iglesiente mountain range. It is a vast forest complex immersed in a mountain setting characterized by limestone reliefs, valleys and landscapes of strong environmental value.
The forest is dominated by oaks, cork and Mediterranean scrub, which constitute the main vegetative structure of the area. This ecosystem contributes to soil conservation and biodiversity protection, creating a stable and well preserved natural environment.
The landscape alternates dense wooded areas with more open areas with rocky outcrops and views of the Sulcis mountains. The set forms a typically internal environment, with a high degree of naturality and ecological continuity.
