Foresta demaniale Rosas

La Foresta demaniale di Rosas – Monte Orri is located in the territory of Narcao, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and represents an extensive forest complex inserted in a hilly and mountainous context of great naturalistic value. The area develops between internal reliefs and rocky slopes, in a landscape strongly shaped by geological phenomena and the long evolution of the territory.
The forest system is characterized by the presence of holm oaks, cork and Mediterranean maquis, which constitute the dominant element of vegetable cover. These species contribute to soil stability and to the formation of a balanced and diversified ecosystem.
The context of Monte Orri adds to the landscape a higher and more panoramic component, with rocky, ridge and open views over the surrounding valleys. The alternation between dense woods and more discovered areas creates a varied environment and strong landscape interest.
