Galleria Villamarina

The Villamarina Gallery is located in the territory of Iglesias (SU), in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is a historical mining tunnel linked to the extractive complex of Monteponi, one of the most important sites of Sardinian industrial archaeology. The structure is one of the underground infrastructures used for the development of mining in the area.
The gallery is part of a system of hypogeous works that connected different levels and sectors of the mine, facilitating transport and mining operations. The site is an integral part of the industrial history of Iglesias and its territory.
