Grotta Azzurra

The Blue Grotto, located in the locality of Masua in the territory of Iglesias, is a natural coastal cavity inserted in one of the most scenic features of the Sulcis-Iglesiente. Here the landscape is dominated by high cliffs, crystal clear sea and rock formations shaped by the continuous action of the waves.
The name recalls the main peculiarity of the site: the blue reflections of the water, which penetrate inside the cavity creating games of evocative light, especially in the brightest hours of the day. The cave, carved by sea erosion, has simple but very evocative environments, where light and color become the protagonists.
