Grotta dei Baci

The Grotta dei Baci, located near Porto Pino in the territory of Sulcis-Iglesiente, is located along one of the most famous coastal sections of the south-west Sardinia, characterized by sandy dunes, crystal clear sea and cliffs shaped by the wind. The context alternates sandy and rocky environments, creating a varied landscape and strongly linked to the natural dynamics of the coast.
The cavity is of marine origin and formed through the combined action of erosion of the sea and the wind, which over time dug small recesses in the rock. The site is not a complex underground system, but a coastal cave collected, especially appreciated for the suggestive atmosphere and for the panoramic position. The name “dei Baci” recalls a romantic image and contributes to the charm of the place, very popular for the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
