Grotte Is Zuddas

The Grotte Is Zuddas, located in the south-west of Sardinia in the territory of Sulcis, represent one of the most interesting and particular karst complexes of the island. The site develops in an underground environment shaped over time by the continuous action of water, which gave rise to a cavity system rich in shapes and details.
The tourist route, about 500 meters long, allows to cross suggestive environments characterized by a wide variety of limestone concretions: from the classic stalactites and stalagmites up to colates and thin cannules. The distinctive element of the caves is the presence of eccentric aragonite, rare formations found here in a particularly high concentration within the same room, making the site unique. This peculiarity gives the caves a scientific and naturalistic value of international importance.
