Grotta di Acquacadda – Su Montixeddu

The Cave of Acquacadda – On Montixeddu, in the territory of Nuxis (Sulcis), is a natural site of particular interest inserted in a hilly context rich in Mediterranean vegetation and rock formations. The area is characterized by an intact landscape, where nature and silence dominate the experience of visiting.
The cave develops within a karst system shaped by water over the millennia, with internal environments that present irregular and suggestive rock formations. Among the most characteristic elements are natural cavities, sculpted walls and the possible presence of small water deposits, from which comes the name “Acquacadda”. The site represents a significant example of local geological phenomena and is appreciated both for the naturalistic value and for the immersive atmosphere.
