Il Cane di Roccia

The Cane di Roccia di San Giovanni Suergiu, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, is a special natural formation shaped over time by the action of wind and weathering agents. The rock owes its name to the characteristic shape that recalls the profile of a dog, becoming a landscape curiosity of the south-western territory of Sardinia.
The formation emerges in a context characterized by Mediterranean vegetation, rocky outcrops and rural landscapes of Sulcis, creating a unique scenic element immersed in nature. The shapes carved by erosion make the site particularly interesting from a photographic and geological point of view.
