Laverie minerarie di Serra Scoris

The mining laveries of Serra Scoris are located in the territory of Sulcis-Iglesiente (SU), in south-western Sardinia, and are an important testimony of industrial archaeology linked to extractive activity. These are plants used for the treatment and separation of minerals, fundamental in the production cycle of mines in the territory.
The structures of the laveries were intended for the processing of the extracted material, through processes of selection and washing that allowed to separate the minerals useful from the waste. These plants represent an essential part of the historical mining system of Sulcis.
