Miniera Baueddu

The Baueddu Mine is located in Sulcis-Iglesiente, in an internal hilly context characterized by limestone reliefs, Mediterranean scrub and a strong presence of testimonies related to mining archaeology. The site is part of the largest historical extractive system that has affected South Sardinia, contributing to the definition of the current landscape.
The area preserves remains of abandoned mining structures, including ruins of industrial buildings, traces of tunnels and service infrastructures, gradually incorporated by spontaneous vegetation. The evidences left tell the organization and the production phases typical of the mines of the territory.
