Miniera di S’Acqua Bona

The Mine of S’Acqua Bona is located in the territory of Sulcis-Iglesiente, in a hilly environment dominated by limestone reliefs and vegetation typical of the Mediterranean scrub. The area is part of the vast historical mining system of South Sardinia, which has deeply shaped the landscape and identity of the territory.
The site preserves the remains of the structures linked to the extractive activity, with ruins of mining buildings, traces of plants and galleries, today abandoned and progressively incorporated by the surrounding nature. Industrial evidence emerges between vegetation, creating a strong visual contrast between building and natural environment.
