Miniera monte Tamara

The Mine of Monte Tamara is located in the territory of Nuxis, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, in a mountain context characterized by calcareous reliefs, thick Mediterranean scrub and important traces of mining archaeology. The area is part of the largest extractive system that has deeply marked the historical and economic development of the territory.
The site preserves remains of mining structures linked to mining and first processing of minerals, with industrial ruins, traces of tunnels and stone and concrete artifacts, today in a state of abandonment and progressive integration with the surrounding natural environment.
