Molo di Masua

The Molo di Masua is located along the coast of Sulcis-Iglesiente, in the territory of Iglesias, in one of the most iconic coastal sections of south-western Sardinia. It is a historical harbour structure linked to the mining activity, inserted in a landscape context dominated by cliffs and open sea.
The pier overlooks a stretch of coast characterized by limestone cliffs, deep seabeds and turquoise waters, with a strong geological component that makes the landscape particularly scenic. Its construction is linked to the extractive activities of the area, in particular to the transport of minerals from the surrounding mines.
The environment is enriched by the presence of symbolic elements of the territory, such as the famous Pan di Zucchero, which dominates the sea view and contributes to defining the landscape identity of Masua. The area maintains a strong balance between historical infrastructure and coastal nature.
