Monte Lapanu

Monte Lapanu is located in the territory of Teulada, in south-western Sardinia, in a coastal context characterized by isolated reliefs, Mediterranean vegetation and areas of strong environmental value. The mountain is known above all for the presence of a historical mining activity linked to the extraction of iron.
The area is in fact linked to a magnetite mine active since 1854, evidence of the 19th century mining interest in the area between Capo Spartivento and Capo Teulada. The remains of mining are an important trace of the industrial history of the territory.
