Monte Leone

Monte Leone is located in the territory of Carbonia, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is a hilly relief that dominates the surrounding landscape of south-western Sardinia. Its elevated position offers wide panoramic views of the Sulcis plains, historical mining areas and surrounding reliefs.
The area is characterized by a natural environment typical of the territory, with Mediterranean maquis, rocky outcrops and panoramic paths, which make the mountain a privileged point of view on the landscape of the lower Sulcis. The spontaneous vegetation and the conformation of the relief contribute to the strong naturalistic value of the area.
