Museo del Bisso

The Museo del Bisso, located in Via Regina Margherita, 168 in Sant’Antioco, is a unique space dedicated to the valorisation of the ancient processing of the sea, a rare and precious natural fiber obtained from the “seta del mare”. The exhibition follows a traditional artisanal tradition that is almost missing today, linked to manual processing techniques handed down over time.
The museum explores not only the technical aspect of production, but also the cultural and identity value of this practice, closely linked to the history of the territory and its relationship with the sea. The visit offers an immersive experience between art, crafts and historical memory.
