Nido dei Passeri

The Nido dei Passeri is located in the territory of Calasetta, in Sulcis-Iglesiente, along the coast of the island of Sant’Antioco. It is a natural site characterized by a suggestive coastal environment, where the presence of rocky cavities and walls shaped by marine erosion creates conditions favourable to the nesting of birds.
The landscape is dominated by cliffs, rocks and Mediterranean vegetation, with a strong contrast between the blue of the sea and the light shades of rock formations. The continuous action of wind and water has helped to shape the territory, giving rise to ravines and sheltered areas.
The area is known for the presence of avifauna, which finds in this context an ideal habitat for stopping and nesting, from which the name of the site derives. The environment maintains a high degree of naturality, with a typical ecosystem of the wild coasts of Sulcis.
