Nuraghe Antiogu Diana

The Nuraghe Antiogu Diana, located in the territory of Sant’Antioco in Sulcis, is located in an internal context of the island about 6 km from the inhabited center, in an area where the landscape alternates hilly traits, Mediterranean vegetation and rural areas little urbanized.
The structure, classified as complex nuraghe, is made of local stone and preserves remains that allow an intuition of an articulated configuration compared to the simplest models. Although today it is in a state of ruins, the plant suggests the presence of multiple environments or construction phases, indicating a role not marginal within the nuragic settlement system of the island. Its position, slightly drawn but inserted in a territory rich in archaeological emergencies, strengthens the hypothesis of a center linked to the control and management of local resources.
