Nuraghe Bruncu ’e Teula

The Nuraghe Bruncu’e Teula, in the territory of San Giovanni Suergiu in the lower Sulcis, is located in an area slightly raised compared to the surrounding plain, in a rural context dominated by open fields and spontaneous vegetation. The location, although not isolated, offers a wide view of the surrounding landscape, a recurring element in the nuragic sites of this part of the island.
The structure, made of local stone, today is preserved in a fragmentary way and is presented as a set of remains difficult to read in their entirety. Despite this, it is possible to recognize its belonging to the nuragic type and to hypothesize a function linked to the control of the territory and the management of the surrounding agricultural areas. The site is inserted in the widespread system of nuragic presences of Sulcis, often distributed between plains and small reliefs.
