Nuraghe Caboniscus

The Nuraghe Caboniscus is located in the territory of Tratalias (SU), in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is an archaeological site belonging to the Sardinian nuragic civilization. The structure is a testimony of the ancient human settlement in the area, dating back to the Bronze Age, and contributes to the rich archaeological heritage of the south-west of Sardinia.
The nuraghe is part of the type of nuragic megalithic buildings, made of stone and used with defensive, housing and control functions of the territory. Its presence highlights the strategic importance of the territory of Tratalias within ancient settlement systems.
