Nuraghe Candiazzu

The Nuraghe Candiazzu, in Sulcis, is located in an interior landscape of the island characterized by open countryside, stretches of Mediterranean maquis and a still unplanned natural context. The area preserves a silent atmosphere, where archaeological evidence emerges discreetly among the elements of the territory.
The structure, made of local stone, is visible only in part and presents itself as a set of fragmentary remains, difficult to read in their entirety but sufficient to recognize its nuragic origin. The site seems to belong to a small settlement unit, probably linked to the management of the territory and local activities. Its present condition makes it more an archaeological trace immersed in the landscape than an intact monument, still inserted in the widespread network of nuragic presences of Sulcis.
