Nuraghe Coi Casu

The Nuraghe Coi Casu is a Nuragic archaeological site located in the territory of Sulcis Iglesiente, in a rural landscape that still preserves a strong link with the ancient history of Sardinia. Nuraghe Coi Casu represents a testimony of the nuragic civilization, widespread capillaryly in this area of the island and characterized by stone structures with defensive and settlement function.
The monument, immersed in the surrounding countryside, is part of an ancient territorial system in which the nuraghi constituted strategic points of control and reference for the local communities. Its presence contributes to rebuilding the prehistoric settlement network of Sulcis, offering a direct look on the social organization and the use of the territory in the nuragic era. Today the site conserves a mainly historical and archaeological value, linked to the memory of the oldest origins of the island.
