Nuraghe Craminalana

The Nuraghe Craminalana, located in the territory of San Giovanni Suergiu nel Sulcis, is located in a very close position to the town, about 1 km in the air line, in a context where the agricultural landscape merges with historical traces spread. The area still retains a typical setting of the lowland areas of Sulcis, characterized by a long continuity of attendance.
The structure, made of local stone, today is subject to study and does not present a completely defined archaeological reading, but is attributed to the nuragic typology. The visible remains are limited, but sufficient to suggest the presence of a small settlement linked to the control of the surrounding territory. The proximity to the country suggests a role inserted in a very dense settlement system, typical of the flat areas of Sulcis.
