Nuraghe Crisionis II

The Nuraghe Crisionis II, on the island of Sant’Antioco in Sulcis, is located in an internal context characterized by flat soils and stretches of low Mediterranean vegetation, far from the main towns but inserted in a historically popular territory.
The monument, made of local stone, is now preserved in a residual form: a complete structure is not perceived, but only scattered walls that still bear witness to a nuragic presence. More than a defined building, the site appears as a widespread archaeological track, useful to reconstruct the capillary presence of settlements on the island. Its location suggests a function linked to small presidio points distributed in the inner territory of Sant’Antioco, in relation to other nearby nuragici nuclei.
