Nuraghe Cristu

The Nuraghe Cristu, in the territory of Villaperuccio (Sulcis), is located in an open rural setting where the countryside alternates large cultivated areas, stretches of Mediterranean vegetation and read undulations of the soil. It is a silent area, where archaeological emergencies are discreetly inserted into the landscape.
The structure, made of local stone, today is preserved only in part and looks like a set of remains not always immediately legible in their completeness. Despite the fragmentation, the site is traced back to the nuragic civilization and suggests the presence of a small settlement linked to the management of the surrounding territory. The position in the plain and in the agricultural area allows to assume a more practical than monumental function, inserted in the widespread network of nuragic presences of the inner Sulcis.
