Nuraghe De S’Ergai

The Nuraghe De S’Ergai, located in the territory of Masainas in Sulcis, is an interesting example of nuragic architecture inserted in a plain and rural context typical of the south-west of Sardinia. The structure, made of local stone, is present today in a state of ruins, but retains useful elements to the understanding of the original plant.
The site highlights the remains of a small nuragic complex, probably with housing and control of the surrounding area. The position in the open and agricultural area also suggests a possible role linked to the management of local resources and the widespread presence of nuragic settlements in Sulcis.
