Nuraghe Fais

The Nuraghe Fais, located in the territory of Masainas in Sulcis, is an interesting example of complex nuraghe inserted in a rural and flat context typical of the south-west of Sardinia. The site is about 1 km from the town, in an area easily reachable but still linked to the traditional agricultural landscape.
The structure, made of local stone, preserves the remains of the original plant that highlight a possible joint in several environments, typical of the complex nuraghi. The location, next to the town but inserted in an open context, suggests a function linked both to the control of the territory and to the management of the local activities.
