Nuraghe Feminedda

The Nuraghe Feminedda, located along Via Coaquaddus in the territory of Sant’Antioco (Sulcis), is located in an area that combines coastal traits and inner areas of the island, where the landscape is shaped by Mediterranean vegetation, rocky outcrops and historically frequented routes.
The structure, made of local stone, today is preserved only in part and looks like a strongly reduced complex, but still recognizable in its nuragic matrix. More than an integral architectural volume, the site returns the image of an ancient point of human presence, probably linked to functions of control and management of coastal territory and areas immediately internal. The location, not far from the coastal belt of Sant’Antioco, suggests an interaction between marine environment and nuragic settlement system.
