Nuraghe Fragata

The Nuraghe Fragata, located in the territory of Sulcis, is part of a rural setting where the landscape alternates agricultural areas, stretches of Mediterranean scrub and slight reliefs. The site is located in a non-urban position, in line with the widespread distribution of nuragic testimonies in southwestern Sardinia.
The structure, made of local stone, today is in ruins and preserves only parts of the original plant, sufficient however to identify its nuragic nature. The whole of the remains allows a small settlement, probably linked to the management of the territory and the control of local resources. Its location is part of the network of scattered districts typical of the Nuragic Sulcis, often integrated with the surrounding natural environment.
