Nuraghe Genn’e Mustazzu

The Nuraghe Genn’e Mustazzu, located in the territory of Iglesias, in the Iglesiente, is an interesting example of nuragic architecture immersed in a rural and hilly context. The site is located along a secondary road, in an area characterized by natural landscapes typical of the south-west of Sardinia, where the nuragic presence is still widespread.
The structure, made of local stone, preserves the remains of the original plant, traceable to a nuraghe of complex or articulated type, today partially collapsed but still legible in its essential lines. The position slightly drawn from the main towns suggests a function linked to the control of the territory and the management of the local resources, in a context of strong connection between nuragic settlements and natural environment.
