Nuraghe Marchiesu

The Nuraghe Marchiesu, located in the territory of Sant’Antioco in Sulcis, is located in an internal area of the island where the landscape is dominated by open fields, stretches of Mediterranean maquis and slight differences of the soil. The context is quiet and little urbanized, typical of the less anthropized areas of the island.
The structure, made of local stone, today is in very fragmentary conditions, with scattered remains that do not return a complete reading of the original plant. Despite this, the presence of blocks and walls allows to recognize the attribution to the nuragic civilization. The site is more like an ancient area of attendance than a well-preserved complex, included in the widespread network of nuragic presences on the island of Sant’Antioco.
