Nuraghe Moru Nieddu

The Nuraghe Moru Nieddu, located in the territory of Gonnesa in the Iglesiente, is an interesting example of complex nuragic architecture immersed in a typical environmental context of the south-west of Sardinia. The site is located in a slightly elevated position, a characteristic that suggests an ancient strategic function linked to the control of the surrounding area.
The structure, today in a state of ruins, preserves traces of the original walls made with local stone, which allow to recognize the plant of the nuragico complex. The area is still subject to study and deepening, but is clearly part of the dense network of nuragic settlements of the Iglesiente, a territory rich in archaeological evidence of great value.
