Nuraghe Noccus

The Nuraghe Noccus, located in the territory of Sant’Antioco nel Sulcis, is located in an internal area of the island characterized by an open countryside, stretches of Mediterranean maquis and a still unplanned landscape. The context is typical of the less anthropized island areas, where archaeological traces emerge in a discreet way between natural elements.
The structure, made of local stone, today is preserved only in part and looks like a set of remains not always immediately legible in their totality. Despite the fragmentation, the site is traced back to the nuragic civilization and suggests the presence of a small settlement point, probably linked to the management of the territory and local activities. The location is part of the widespread network of nuragic presences of the island, often distributed in a capillary way between the hinterland and coastal areas.
