Nuraghe Nuraxi Mesu

The Nurax’e Mesu, located in the territory of Masainas in Sulcis, is a nuragic site immersed in a rural landscape typical of south-west Sardinia. The monument is about 2 km from the town, in an area still strongly linked to agricultural activities and the surrounding nature.
The structure, made of local stone, preserves the remains of a nuraghe that has typical characteristics of the settlements diffused in Sulcis, with a possible housing and control of the territory. The position, slightly drawn from the country but inserted in an open context, suggests a strategic role in managing local resources.
