Nuraghe S’Arcu de sa Scala

The Nuraghe S’Arcu de sa Scala, in the territory of Villaperuccio (Sulcis), is located in an open rural setting where fields, spontaneous vegetation and small reliefs alternate seamlessly. The area preserves a little anthropized character, with a simple and natural landscape.
The site, built in local stone, today is reduced to a few scattered remains that do not allow to accurately reconstruct the original structure. What remains is sufficient, however, to recognize the nuragic matrix, although the plant appears strongly simplified compared to other more preserved examples. The slightly elevated position allows a function linked more to the presence in the territory than to a real monumental role.
