Nuraghe s’Erbexi

The Nuraghe S’Erbexi (or Serbegi / Serbexi) is located in the territory of Gonnesa, in the Iglesiente, in an area characterized by reliefs and landscapes typical of the south-west of Sardinia. The site represents an example of local stone nuragic architecture, today in a state of ruins, but still recognizable in its original structure.
The wall remains testify to the presence of an articulated nuragic system, probably with both residential and defensive function. The position slightly elevated compared to the surrounding context suggests a strategic use linked to the control of the territory and the internal access routes. The site is located in an area full of nuragic testimonies, where the settlement density confirms the historical importance of the Iglesiente in ancient times.
