Nuraghe Seruci

The Nuragic Complex of Seruci is one of the most extensive and relevant archaeological sites of the Sulcis Iglesiente, located in the territory of Gonnesa, in a position overlooking the surrounding landscape. Seruci nuragic complex develops over six hectares and represents one of the most significant testimonies of the nuragic civilization between the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.
The site stands out for its remarkable extension and complexity of the settlement system, which includes housing structures, towers and aggregation areas, suggesting an articulated and stable social organization. Its location in English inserts it into a network of important nuragic settlements, contributing to the understanding of the population density and the cultural development of the area in prehistoric times. Today the Seruci complex is a fundamental point of reference for the study of nuragic civilization in Sardinia.
