Nuraghe Tronu

The Nuraghe Tronu, in the territory of Perdaxius (Sulcis), stands out as one of the most articulated nuragic sites in the area, located about 3 km from the town in a still well preserved rural landscape. The context alternates natural fields and traits, in an area where archaeological emergencies spread widely.
The structure, built in local stone, today preserves only parts of the original plant, but the complexity of the site is still perceptible through the layout of the remaining walls. The set allows a non-isolated but organized structure, probably composed of several functional units. Its location suggests a reference role for the control of the activities of the surrounding area, entering into the network of nuragic settlements of Sulcis.
