Nuraghe Ziu Giuanneddu

The Nuraghe Ziu Giuanneddu is located in the territory of Teulada (SU), in Sulcis-Iglesiente, and is an archaeological site belonging to the Sardinian nuragic civilization. The structure represents a significant testimony of the ancient human settlement in the area, dating back to the Bronze Age, and contributes to the historical and archaeological heritage of the south-west of Sardinia.
The nuraghe is part of the type of nuragic megalithic buildings, made with stone blocks and used with defensive, housing and control functions of the territory. Its location in the hilly landscape highlights the strategic role of the site for the observation and management of the surrounding areas in ancient times.
