Panchina gigante carbonia

The Giant bench of Carbonia is the first installation of this type made in Sardinia, located in the territory of Carbonia, at the foot of Mount Sirai, in a panoramic point overlooking the landscape of Sulcis-Iglesiente. Inserted into the Big Bench circuit, it represents an element of landscape and territorial enhancement.
The bench is located in a panoramic viewpoint, from which opens a wide view of the surrounding area, with views that include hills, mining areas and the typical landscape of Sulcis. The location is particularly significant for the proximity to the Phoenician-Punian archaeological park of Monte Sirai, one of the most important historical sites in the area.
The installation is also part of the itinerary of the Via Minerario di Santa Barbara, which crosses places linked to the industrial and mining history of south-western Sardinia. The context therefore combines landscape, archaeology and mining tradition, creating a distinctive point of interest.
