Piazza Umberto I

The Piazza Umberto I of Sant’Antioco is considered the heart of the city center, recently affected by an urban redevelopment intervention that has transformed it into a modern space of encounter and sociality. The area combines the historical dimension of ancient Roman Sulci with a contemporary enjoyment of urban life.
One of the most significant elements of the square is the statue of Druso Minore, granite reproduction of the Roman reperto found in 1908, symbol of the deep bond between the island and its ancient history.
