Piccolo Museo della calzoleria

The Piccolo Museo della Calzoleria, born inside the old workshop of the shoemaker Moica Mariuccio in San Giovanni Suergiu, is a space dedicated to the memory of traditional crafts now disappeared or strongly resized by industrial evolution and the great distribution. The museum preserves and enhances tools, tools and testimonies related to the art of calzoleria, telling a manual knowledge of experience, precision and craftsmanship.
The exhibition path is not limited to showing objects, but also reconstructs the historical and social context in which these crafts took place, restoring the cultural value of the artisan work and its role in the daily life of local communities. The preparation thus becomes a tribute to the tradition and memory of manual work.
