Pineta di Fontanamare

The Pineta di Fontanamare is a naturalistic area located along the coast of Sulcis-Iglesiente, in the territory of Gonnesa. It is a coastal green space characterized by a thick pine forest that develops close to the sea, creating a unique environment where nature and coastal landscape meet.
The vegetation, consisting mainly of maritime pines and Mediterranean scrub, helps to stabilize the dunal soil and preserve the coastal ecosystem. The pine forest is an important element of environmental protection, as well as a tourist and recreational area.
Thanks to its strategic position near the beach of Fontanamare, the area is very popular especially in the summer months, offering shade areas, natural routes and ideal spaces for walks and panoramic stops.
